I listened to the new Portishead album once. I have mixed feelings. The album itself is so-so. But I like the live performance videos on YouTube. The live renditions make the songs less elaborate, more minimalist and raw, which works in their favor.
By the way, the CD and the MP3 version are sold on Amazon for practically the same price—9/10 dollars. On the one hand, the labels have some nerve doing that, but on the other, the price itself is relatively low.
